The Kenya Zanzibar Experience - Britt

Welcome to Mama Africa!  

We’ll meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International airport and bring you to Giraffe Manor in the leafy Nairobi suburb of Langata, for a sumptuous three-course lunch.

This classic ivy-clad manor house is home to a tower of Rothschild’s giraffes that live in the grounds of the hotel. The large veranda and terrace is perfect for feeding them by hand*. These giraffes are all wild and there’s a breeding and conservation programme at the Giraffe Centre located in Giraffe Manor’s grounds, which we invite you to visit.

* The giraffe at Giraffe Manor are wild and therefore we cannot guarantee interaction with them at any given time.

Overnight: Giraffe Manor

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Wilson Airport for your flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival you’ll head to Sala’s Camp, with a small game drive en-route.

An authentic safari experience with friendliness, hospitality, and fine dining. You’ll explore the Masai Mara National Park on spectacular game drives, usually either first thing in the morning or at dusk to see the animals at the peak of their activity. Or we can organize for a bush lunch out in the Masai Mara itself. Back at Camp, you can take part in activities, go for local walks along the river-bed or relax and enjoy the view from the hammock outside your tent. Meeting up for sundowners before dinner.

Overnight:  Sala’s Camp

Continue exploring the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The game drives, allow you to see the animals when they are most active. You can also head out into the remote corners of the Masai Mara to find the wildlife and enjoy a bush lunch en-route. 

Back at the Camp, you can take part in activities, take local walks along the river or relax and enjoy the view from the hammock outside your tent before sundowners.

Overnight: Sala’s Camp

Enjoy breakfast then head out to the nearby airstrip and fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. Enjoy your flight to Zanzibar.

Settle in and enjoy the new environment. 

Depending on the time of flight arrival in Zanzibar, you will have a stone town and potentially prison island tour.

Lunch at 6 degrees south restaurant and dinner at Cape Town Fish Market at own account.

Overnight at the Madinat Zanzibar Hotel

Today a free day and you call the shots. There are optional activities you can take at a fee on this day. Or you may spend the day enjoying your resort.

- Jozani Forest etc

Overnight at the Royal Zanzibar Beach Resort or Similar

You will be taken to Fumba from the hotel, and from there you will board on the traditional dhow boat to enjoy the magic of isolated sandbanks and rugged Island, the full day sailing around the Mangroves and snorkelling along some of the best coral reefs.

Safari blue is a full day boat trip on a traditional sailing boat, (Dhow). Safari blue explores the Menai bay conservation area which is home to two different species of dolphins: - the indoor-pacific humper-back and the bottlenose, you will also see different types of birds. 

Sail, snorkle, swim,sunbathe,explore,feast, dolphin watch among other fun activities.

Lunch is served on the Island. Enjoy a traditional beach-buffet with Sea food BBQ and tasting of exotic fruits.

What to take: A lot of sun cream, hats, swimming costume and towel, aqua shoes.

This tour involves climbing onto a traditional dhow boat.
