The Kenya Zanzibar Experience - Racine

Today, you arrived in the motherland.  You will be picked up by our team at the Airport.  

Settle in, relax and enjoy the new environment. 

Enjoy Nairobi nightlife later in the evening.

After breakfast at your hotel, we depart for your Nairobi city adventure. 

We’ll start with a visit to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, watch young elephants at play with attentive keepers, who explain the process of reintroducing the elephants into the wild. 

Dame Daphne Sheldrick started the elephant and sometimes, rhino, orphanage in honor of her late husband David. The Orphanage is on the edge of Nairobi National Park where the youngsters feed in their mini herds with a mini Matriarch every day, coming back three times a day for their milk feeding and in hot weather, a mud bath. 

Later visit Giraffe Centre is the headquarters for AFEW, the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife. Made famous by Daisy Rothschild - a giraffe calf rescued from Soi on the border of Western Kenya. Giraffe Centre was established in 1983 as a sanctuary for the then endangered Rothschild giraffe. The breeding Programme has been a great success and visitors can now watch these gentle giants at eye level from a raised platform. There is also the opportunity to learn more about giraffe at the interpretation centre and hand-feed them whilst watching the semi-tame family of warthogs snuffle around their hooves in search of tidbits.

After the giraffe center, we’ll have lunch. Then visit Ubani Trust a christian based organization that rescues teenage mums/girls from sexual exploitation around majengo slum. They work hard towards helping girls who have dropped out of school to go back by seeking donations that will support their fees.

Ubani works towards helping in psychosocial support by having bible studies, one on one counseling, and group counseling.

They have a shelter where they house girls who are at risk of any form of abuse.

Later, go back to hotel, freshen up and leave for dinner and night in the town.

06:30 am. – Our driver guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel and we’ll head out in private 4 x 4 Jeep over smooth highway with rest stops along the way to stretch and take in the views.

Once you have arrived at the lodge, check in and be shown to your room where you can freshen up in time for lunch. After lunch there are a few hours to relax and enjoy before setting off into the bush for an afternoon game drive.

Amboseli National Park at the base of soaring, snowcapped Mount Kilimanjaro, which, at 19,341 feet, is the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Set out in search of the region’s spectacular wildlife. Amboseli’s huge draw is elephants. Watch as big herds roam the dusty plains, including “tuskers,” large, older bulls who have grown impressive tusks.

Get to experience a One-hour visit to a traditional Maasai Village You will interact with the Maasai villagers there, see their mud hut dwellings, known as Manyatta’s, and learn about their unique way of life. 

There’s also an option of buying hand-made items of craft and jewelry from the Maasai women.

We’ll be up early to take in the wondrous African sunrise as the land and the animals come to life. This is a special time in the park when the air is cool and still, reflecting the first light of the day.One of the great surprises of Tsavo West is Mzima Springs, a naturally fed oasis brimming with wildlife, exotic fish, crocodile, hippo, and birds. We can leave our 4 x 4 Jeep for a guided walk along the green shores, taking in this idyllic landscape.Then it’s a relatively short drive to Amboseli Park. Mt. Kilimanjaro will be your beacon, guiding you to the reserve and its busy world of wildlife. You’re guaranteed to spot herds of free-ranging elephants trooping past, with stately Kilimanjaro framing their progress.

With its sparse foliage, Amboseli is known to be an easy reserve for wildlife spotting and you’ll be busy with your guide, checking off the various hunters and grazers you see.This park is a photographer’s dream so be ready to capture dozens of striking memories.

Toward evening, the clouds covering Kilimanjaro’s peak may disperse giving us memorable views of the mountain’s snow-capped summit.

Settle in and enjoy the new environment. 

You will have the opportunity to take a quick tour around Stone town the port city of Zanzibar.

Tonight you will have a special bithday dinner hosted by Certified Africa.

You will be taken to Fumba from the hotel, and from there you will board on the traditional dhow boat to enjoy the magic of isolated sandbanks and rugged Island, the full day sailing around the Mangroves and snorkelling along some of the best coral reefs.

Safari blue is a full day boat trip on a traditional sailing boat, (Dhow). Safari blue explores the Menai bay conservation area which is home to two different species of dolphins: - the indoor-pacific humper-back and the bottlenose, you will also see different types of birds. 

Sail, snorkle, swim,sunbathe,explore,feast, dolphin watch among other fun activities.

Lunch is served on the Island. Enjoy a traditional beach-buffet with Sea food BBQ and tasting of exotic fruits.

What to take: A lot of sun cream, hats, swimming costume and towel, aqua shoes.

Today you visit the Baraka Aquarium. The turtles here are caught by fishermen and they are released back to the fresh ocean water in the lagoon. 

You will have the opportunity to swim with the beautiful sea turtles during your visit. You can also feed the turtles or just spend your time in the water with them and taking pictures. 

Also, you can take snorkelling mask to dive and watch them in their natural environment.

Spend the rest of the day enjoying your all inclusive resort. 

Today we will set sail to NNemba Island for the day to complete the birthday celebration.

This boat trip offers the best experience of Coral reefs in the world. Enjoy the sail to one of the best snorkel spots in the world. Spend the time partying on the water, swimming and snorkelling. 

Lunch, fruits and drinks will be provided in the boat. 

Life jackets and Snorkel gears will be provided. And for those who cannot swim, you will be supported.

What to take: A lot of sun cream, hats, swimming costume and towel.

Finish the night with nightlife in a Zanzibar club. 

Activity level: Active and involves going on and off a boat and swimming.
