Covid-19 Vaccination Requirement Ghana

As of December 10, 2021

The United States Embassy is requiring travelers to Ghana to get the Covid-19 vaccination before entering the country.

For U.S. Citizens

All visitors to Ghana who are 18 years-old or older will be required to provide proof of a COVID vaccine in order to visit the country.

For Ghanaians and Residents of Ghana 

All unvaccinated Ghanaians and residents of Ghana who are currently outside of the country and intend to return within 14 days from midnight December 12, 2021, are exempted. However, they will be vaccinated on arrival in Ghana.

Fully vaccinated means that you have had all required doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. There are several options for taking the vaccine if you are planning to travel to Ghana.
