DAY 1

Akwaaba

Today, you arrived in the motherland. You will be picked up by our team at the Airport the Certified Africa way.

Settle in, relax and enjoy the new environment.

Tonight we will have a Welcome dinner to welcome you into the country.

Overnight at the African Regent Hotel or Similar

You can enjoy nightlife as you wish.

DAY 2

Traditional Welcome Home & Naming Ceremony + City Tour

Today we will immerse ourselves into the culture by participating in a traditional welcome home ceremony to welcome you back into the motherland.

There will be elders to offer prayers and perform some traditional rites to usher you into the land.

We will have the opportunity to dance along with the cultural dancers as we celebrate our return to the motherland.

Our seamstress will be on standby to take measurements for those who want outfits made.

After your ceremony you will visit some historic sites including

• W.E.B. Dubois center or the Ghana National museum based on which one you have already visited.

• Visit to the independence square and Black star square, the most famous symbols of Ghana

• Visit Makola market, the biggest and busiest market in Accra where you can shop beautiful African fabrics

• Visit the local art market for art and craft shopping, walk around, interact with artists, take pictures or enjoy the beautiful Ghanaian art.

Overnight at the African Regent Hotel or Similar

DAY 3

Takoradi Masquerade Carnival (Ankos Festival)

Today, we journey to the western region of Ghana to experience the Takoradi Masquerade Carnival (Ankos festival).

This is an annual event usually celebrated in Takoradi on 25th December.

Alternatively, you can also attend the Fancy Dress festival and join the celebration among masqueraders in Winneba in gthe central region of Ghana.

Overnight is at the Alliance Hotel By Eagles Takoradi.

Activity level: Active and involves lots of walking and dancing.

DAY 4

Beach & Relaxation

Today wake up to a beautiful sunny day. After breakfast you can head to the beach and dip your feet and or body in the ocean.

Spend some time enjoying the ocean before heading back to your hotel.

DAY 5

Nzulezu Stilt Village

Today you will explore the town sitting on water. You will take a canoe ride through the lush Amansuri wetlands to the stilt village of Nzulezu.

Prepare to walk approximately 150m to the wooden walkway to board the rafts.

Spend the rest of the day as you wish.

Overnight is at the Busua Beach Resort.

Activity level: Active and will ride in a small boat to village.

DAY 6

Busua Beach Resort

Enjoy a morning walk along the beach. Watch the fishermen bringing the morning catch before departing to the Busua beach resort to spend the rest of the day relaxing by the ocean or potentially enjoying a deep in the ocean.

DAY 7

Nkyinkyim Museum & Ada Experience

Today you will heard out of the capital to have a good time, learn and relax.

First Stop

Nkyinkyim Museum one of the biggest outdoor museums in Ghana.

Second Stop

Aqua Safari Resort

* We'll catch a boat ride on the Volta River to about four islands. The Volta River is the largest man made lake in the world by surface area.

Ghana requires visa for USA passport holders. There is Visa on arrival for 200 usd. Process of optaining visa is shared in booking confirmation.

Vaccination Requirements

Covid-19 and Yellow fever vaccinations are required to enter into Ghana for USA passport holders. Yellow fever vaccine can be taken on arrival for 20usd.

WOW!!!!!! Let's just say, it would be very difficult to verbalize how great our trip was as a result of booking with Certified Africa. My wife and I are avid travelers, touching 16 countries so far. We usually create our own itinerary and almost ALWAYS focus on hanging with locals to gain the most intimate and organic experiences possible. What is the Cancellation policy for this experince?

All flight payments are non refundable. You have 48 hours from the time of booking to cancel a travel experience for a refund minus an administrative fee. After 48hours, the travel experience deposit - and all future payments - are non-refundable. We highly recommend you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy that includes trip cancellation coverage. After booking, select a travel insurance option that includes a "Cancel for Any Reason" option to cover your non-refundable travel experience and/or flight. Trip cancellation insurance is the only means of receiving reimbursement for non-refundable expenses should you cancel your trip for any reason, whether voluntarily or as a result of Certified Africa's actions.

If you are unable to travel for some reason and you cannot apply a travel insurance cancellation policy, the transfer of your travel experience booking to another person is available.

Transfers of flight arrangements are not available.

At the discretion of Certified Africa, some or all of your monies paid for your travel experience may be credited towards a future travel experience or booking.

Are payment plans available and how do they work?

As a courtesy, we offer payment plans for our trips. Your monthly payments start the following month after booking on the same day you paid your deposit. A monthly payment of the minimum amount due is required each month via debit. You may contact us to change your payment date after booking prior to 72 hours of your payment date. Our system sends courtesy reminders about your upcoming payment but you are responsible for ensuring your payment is successful and your card is up to date. If your payment is declined we will attempt 2 consecutive days. After a 3rd failed attempt you charged an interest fee.

As of January 1, 2020, all payment plans require monthly automated payments to be debited from your credit/debit card. Manual payments where clients can log in and pay at their leisure can no longer be supported. At any time, you may contact our office to pay in full.
